Moving Items to a New, Exisiting or Split Check

Items can be moved onto to a new, existing or split checks by using the 'Edit Items' button at the top of the check. Review this article to learn how to move items and split checks for guests who request separate checks or want to pay for specific items on a check. 



Edit Items

  • Open the check containing the items you wish to move
  • Tap Edit Items

Move to a New Check

  • Select the items you wish to move on the Edit Items screen
  • Select Move to New Check
  • The Check Detail screen will appear
  • Select the type of check you want to create (Table, Tab, To Go or Delivery)
  • Fill in the required fields
  • Tap the orange check mark
  • The items will move to a new check

Move Items to an Existing Check

  • Select the items you wish to move on the Edit Items screen
  • Select Move to an Existing Check
  • The Open Check screen will appear (items cannot be moved to a closed check)
  • Tap on the check you wish to move the items to

Split Check

  • Select the items you wish to move on the Edit Items screen
  • Select Split Check
  • The items will move to a new check with the same check name and a letter B (Ex: Table 1/B)
  • The original check will display as the original check name and a letter A (Ex: Table 1/A)

Select All Items: Close or Keep Check

If you select all items on the check from the 'Edit Items' screen, you will have the option to close or keep the original empty check.
